Rythu Mitra
"Farmer's friend" in Telugu.
My grandfather farmed in a village called Guthivaripalli, near Tirupati. I grew up in Hyderabad and spent every summer there. Later, working with NGO networks across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, I saw how capable people on the ground are — and how little software understands them.
Rythu Mitra is a voice-first farm management app, built natively in Telugu. A farmer speaks; the system structures. Expenses, crop logs, mandi prices, government scheme tracking — all on a ₹10,000 phone, fully offline. No forms. No English. No barriers.
Rythu Mitra is our attempt to make that intelligence meet people where they already are: in their language, on their phones, and inside the rhythms of their work. Not as another system to learn, but as a tool that listens first.
How we build
The methodology matters as much as the code
Asymmetrica is Sarat and Rahul, working alongside Anthropic's Claude and OpenAI's GPT — the only two model families we allow on production code.
But the models are half the story. We've spent a year developing the discipline around them: agent profiles tuned to different modes of work, ground rules that eliminate tech debt before it starts, dual-model review where each catches what the other misses, and internal programs that keep quality honest.
We don't use AI. We collaborate with it toward excellence in software making.
Craft
Anti-trend, by default.
Most modern software is built to impress, not to be used. We try the other way. Local-first when it can be. Boring stacks when they work. Plain HTML pages instead of single-page-app contortions. Code that you and your team could pick up and maintain after we're long gone.
We borrow shamelessly from the lineage of indie shops that ship — and from any mathematical or engineering tradition with a paradigm worth applying. Old or new, Indian or borrowed, we'll try it. Software is mathematics and care, plain and simple. We try to honor both.
